Our Keyworth loafer has a smart look with a casual, unstructured feel. A minimal stiffener in the toe and heel provide just enough structure, leaving the rest of the upper soft and supple. The vamp is formed of one piece of soft calf suede with a ‘roped’ apron seam (the rope is stitched under the suede creating consistency across the upper and a neat finish). We’ve included a full leather lining and Blake stitched the upper to a leather sole with a stack heel, tipped with a rubber top-piece for extra practicality.

Summer Suede shoes.

The shoes arrived on time. They are very well constructed and have a good quality leather sole.
The shoes fit perfectly. I usually wear a 8.5 but the 9 in these was perfect. They are very comfortable and I am sure the more I wear them the better they will feel.

Not what it was!

It is always disappoint when things change, sometimes not for the best. I had to send the fist pair back due to marks on the suede and the sole, in my opinion they had been worn. second pair arrived safely but the internal Sweeny box was damaged and marked. I have been a Sweeny advocate for probably 20 years plus and still have most of those shoes, lovely, comfortable and quality product, always fit perfectly from the first wearing. I read other reviews about the quality standards slipping with the company and the products but I often try to keep an open mind.. Unfortanately most of the comments are probably correct. If you have quality control and are checking products before they go out then make sure that everything is tip-top, not just the shoe but also the box we often keep the shoes in for life, there is no excuse for sending items out damaged especially when you package them in another posting box. We buy these shoes because of the quality and how they make us feel every time we slip them on - even down to taking them out of the box and removing the shoe from the cloth bags (they did used to have them)!!!! Where have the cloth shoe storage bags gone? - such a shame, my new suede shoes will live uncovered and naked within their box... (fortunately I did have a spare Sweeny bag) ;-))) I sincerely hope this helps to make a difference.

Terrible customer care.

I have been buying products from Oliver Sweeney for over a decade now, and unfortunately both the quality of the product and their customer care has taken a sharp nose dive.
I recently ordered and received a pair of the Keyworth Tan, which look like a nice shoe. However, when I received them they looked like they had been worn, more than merely tried on. I emailed Oliver Sweeney and received quite a curt email from Ridian, stating it was highly like they had been worn, and to Ridians credit I was offered a discount once I had sent him photos of the wear marks on the leather soles and wear marks on the uppers. Ridian then came back to me with an offer of a 10% discount. Which I would expect to get off a brand new undamaged un-worn product, not last year's worn damaged model. I did reply back to Ridian stating this and I have had no further reply. This suggests to me that Ridian doesn't want my business? So I have sent the shoes back and I have ordered a pair from another supplier.

Very comfortable even without socks as I'd hoped as they are to wear in foreign climes
