Hareden Brown
Haredon Tan

Our lightweight Hareden boot is back by popular demand. The toecap Derby upper is made from antique finished, smooth Adigo calf leather in tan, with twin stitch rows, a handy fabric back pull tab and two top ski hooks in antiqued brass. Inside there is a ¾ calf leather lining and insock. The upper is cemented to a Finproject Extralight cleated sole - a tough and practical, but deceptively light weight sole.

Good design, one fault in manufacture

Recently purchased two pair of boots from OS, the Chaves were perfect fit and comfort on first time of wearing. However, the Haredon had a sharp raised seam in the heel of the right boot. See pictures, the problem boot has excess lining material, i flattened with the small roller. I didn't notice this at home getting in the car, but when I started to walk in the town I was visiting I could feel it after walking a few yards. If i had walked much farther id have ended up with even more damaged skin., see picture. When I got home, I had to work the seem with my thumb and a small metal roller to flatten it. I'm not sure how it got through quality control. I have 5 other pairs of oliver sweeney bought many years back, None of those were ever an issue on comfort or manufacture. I hope its not an ongoing issue with the source of manufacture... Looking down the reviews I found a few others had experienced quality issues. I suspect the country of manufacture is the problem.

Oliver Sweeney quality seems to be dropping.

My earlier purchases from OS over the past 10+ years were always extremely well made and high quality finish. This pair (and another similar pair I ordered recently) are very basic in design and finish, and I will return. Hopefully design and finish improves in the future.

Unfortunate

I have many pairs of Oliver Sweeney shoes/boots all of which have been excellet in terms of style and quality. Unfortunately my latest purchase the Harden in brown have not been up to that standard. I have worn them twice and the top ski hooks came off the left boot and I have had to have them repaired. Just one of those small things I know but as I was asked to provide a review then here it is. I'm sure my next purchase
will be back on point
