Both these to replace another very well know deckshoe brand that I've not managed to break in in 10 years. The leather on these is soft and comfortable out the box. Looking forward to the summer to get the wear out of these.

Not Normally Like This

I have bought many pairs of Sweeney shoes and rarely had any problems, but this time:-

The shoes are not comfortable and look very much like the uppers have been switched with the soles. I.E. left foot sole with right foot upper. Will probably return the goods on this occasion.

As with all Oliver Sweeney shoes, immediate comfort and ready to wear straight out of the box. The quality and finish is exceptional. I have no doubt that they will last.

Comfortable boat shoe but ………

Really like the shoes but some downsides.
Laces on delivery were way too long and as stiff as cardboard. Had to soften them with saddle soap and cut them to length.
On the front standing seam of both shoes part of the white interlining was protruding, I had to colour this to hide it.
Overall not as well finished as every other pair of Sweeney's I've purchased.
However I still really like the shoes and after the work I've put in, I'm pleased with my purchase. Hence 4 stars not 5.
