Description

Our new Norwegian welted hiker is made from antiqued Adigo calf leather and soft calf suede. The style is a sturdy apron seam Derby boot with a series of antiqued brass D-rings and a top ski hook for a flexible fit. We’ve included a leather back pull tab, padded collar and full calf leather lining.

The Norwegian welt is a strip of leather stitched to the sole and the side of the boot to cover the join between the sole and the upper, giving extra strength, stability and protection. The deep cleated Livetech sole is deceptively light, but durable and practical.

I've been a Sweeney customer for more than 20 years and have always needed a wide fit. These boots fit true to size with a broad fit. Good build quality, great style and I expect I will get years out of them.
I'm very happy with them.
Only 2 minor gripes:
- I can tell the laces are going to wear out long before the boots. The lace-up mechanism is loose and there will be wear & tear
- very little arch support means I'm going to need insoles which I don't normally need.
